Major Routes in Portugal
The number of long-distance trails in Portugal has been growing in recent years. As a result of municipalities’ increasing focus on nature tourism, long-distance trails (GRs) have been popping up all over the country.
We have compiled a list of some of the GRs in Portugal:- Long-distance trails in Northern Portugal: covering the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, and Viseu.
- Long-distance trails in Central Portugal: districts of Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Leiria, and Santarém.
- Major Routes in Southern Portugal: including Major Routes in the districts of Lisbon, Setúbal, Portalegre, Évora, Beja, and Faro.
