The short Calçadas Romanas hiking trail is one of the most scenic in Tabuaço. It winds along one of the slopes of the Serra de Chavães, formed by extensive, steep rocky outcrops known as the Escarpas do Fradinho. The Fradinho Lookout offers a view of the Távora Valley and the hills beyond the Douro River. Along this route, you can observe birdlife typical of rugged mountainous areas in the Serra de Chavães, as well as some species of flowers also typical of mountainous regions.
