The trail winds through the village’s surroundings, passing by the Fragas de São Simão and its river beach, as well as the villages of Além da Ribeira, Ponte do Brás Curado, and Saonda. Along the Alge and Fato streams, rich in riparian vegetation, you can see the old levadas that carried water to the watermills.
The route has an alternative path that shortens the distance to a total of 2.7 km, taking a shortcut through Além da Ribeira, where the watermills still grind grain.
