Trail description

A trail with varied physical and spatial characteristics along its route. In its initial section, the trail runs through a rural setting, crossing lush marshes. This is followed by a landscape transitioning from the countryside to the mountains. Noteworthy is the beauty of the Rio da Lage with its mills and its bridge. Next comes the mountain range with its richness, its diversity, its unique palette of colors, and its light… If you’re lucky, you may even spot some of the animals for which the Cabreira region is so rich. Among the species commonly found in this area are the rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), the red-legged partridge (Alectoris rufa), the wild boar (Sus scrofa), various passerines, and occasionally some birds of prey. It is also worth noting that visitors will pass by the place name Quebrada, where the marks of the tungsten mining that once took place are still clearly visible today.
