The trail begins by crossing through the center of the village of Queirã, passing by the Carril Fountain, the first of two fountains bearing coats of arms that you’ll encounter along this route, known by the local population as “Fontes Velhas.” From here, the trail continues toward the banks of the Ribamá stream. Along this route, you’ll be able to admire several points of interest, notably the Cruz da Ribeira wine press—a press carved into a granite outcrop—and various remnants of mining activity in this area. Upon reaching the stream, you’ll be surrounded by a lush green landscape and unspoiled nature, with a rich variety of flora and fauna.
