The trail begins near the Frossos Pillory in the village of (Frossos), the former seat of the judicial district and municipality. This hiking trail allows visitors to explore the Pateira de Frossos, a marshy area of former rice paddies that form a mosaic-like agricultural complex, featuring extremely diverse flora and fauna, as reflected in the high number of bird and small mammal species that primarily use the hedgerows. A very easy route with no significant elevation changes, which leaves the village and continues to Boca do Carreiro Park (Frossos).
From here, the walking trail continues to Angeja.
It is possible to continue on to Parque do Areal; the return trip follows the same route. Picking up the trail at the previous point, the hiking route follows trails and farm paths along the banks of the Vouga River. Leaving the river behind and continuing along farm paths, you’ll reach Boca do Carreiro Park. The final stretch back to the village is the same as the initial one.
