This is a circular route that begins and ends in Salto. Following part of an old path that once connected Salto and Alvre, the trail starts in Salto along the banks of the Sousa River, heading toward the Ribeira de Santa Comba. The route offers hikers a contrast between mountain terrain and the marshes along the stream, passing through lush landscapes of striking natural beauty. You can walk along old paths with their cobblestones and wheel tracks carved into the rock, observe Roman mining works, and traditional construction techniques using schist.
